Janus Gryffin 450 Flattrack Team!

Janus Motorcycles is excited to announce our partnership with Blake Wharton and Jordan Lake in fielding our first ever flattrack team and motorcycle!

Our Goal: The Janus Gryffin 450 will be customized and tuned up for racing in the Progressive AFT Flattrack Race this year at the STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY! We want to entertain and engage clients, customers, and employees while experiencing motorcycle culture and behind-the-scenes access to one of the most exciting sports in the world.

Opportunity: Sponsor popular multi-time Supercross race winner Blake Wharton as he competes aboard his factory built janus in the 84th Spirit Of Sturgis TT, AFT AMA Flat Track.

Who:
Blake is a native Texan with a large fan following. He‘s an experienced, cross-functional rider/racer with an established team.

Janus Motorcycles are a scrappy, small manufacturer with a highly-engaged customer base and a highly active social media and video production presence.

About Sturgis
Sturgis is the world’s premiere Motorcycle and powersports event. Spanning 10 days in August, over 600,000 visitors were recorded in 2023. Janus is a partner with the famous Sturgis Buffalo Chip venue in 2024 and 2025 as a part of the 85th anniversary of Sturgis and the 45th anniversary of Buffalo Chip. The AFT race at Sturgis will be one of the week’s signature events!

Who is Blake Wharton?
Factory Racer

After a successful Supercross racing career, Blake Wharton continues his legacy as a racer in multiple motorsports disciplines.

His devotion to motorcycles, in general, has developed into a passion in performance and design as well as a journalist for motorcycle press industry wide.

Blake made his first appearance in professional motocross in 2008. After 7 successful years of professional racing for Geico Honda and Rockstar Energy Suzuki, Blake turned to journalism, and developing video content for enthusiast media outlets, making guest appearances on various motocross podcasts, and conducting motocross schools around the world.

Who is Jordan Lake?
Factory Mechanic & Builder

Born from the mud of old school and a “built not bought” attitude, we will be reliving the glory days of home built, American racing. From an idea to pencil and paper to bending steel we will be sharing in a small community that builds full on custom motorcycles that not only have the “cool factor”, but also race worthy heart and soul.
