Metal Fabricator Position

Janus Motorcycles is looking for a Metal Fabricator to assist with chassis and component production at our fabrication shop. Candidates must provide exemplary proficiency in the use of heavy machinery, power tools, and precision tools to create components for use on Janus Motorcycles. They must be organized, thorough, and detail- and process- oriented. They will be expected to continue learning and improving along with the company. The candidate must show a willingness to learn, improve, create processes, and have an unwavering commitment to creating high-quality, road-ready components.

The key indicator(s) of excellence in the Metal Fabricator role means:

• Following and creating processes for new fabrication projects
• Extreme accountability to safety and quality standards, seeking out training and certification where necessary, training new recruits, and effectively communicating with colleagues
• Analyzing processes and materials to identify room for improvement.

Individual Responsibilities:

• Create Janus Motorcycles components according to the Production Manager’s schedule
• Meet quality standards and production goals
• Help create and improve “Standard Processes” for all Janus components and production
• Address problems quickly and effectively with the team.

Reports to:
General Manager, Production Management Team

Works with:
Fabrication Team, Prototype & Design Team, Production Team

Janus Team Duties:

• Attending Janus Discovery Days, shows, and events
• Shop cleanup
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Required Skills:

• Experience using a heavy metal forming equipment
• Experience with MIG welding, TIG welding experience is great as well
• Experience following safety procedures
• Excellent communication, organization, and mechanical skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
