We are excited to announce our 2025 Model Year at Janus Motorcycles! While it may be somewhat redundant to announce the BRAND NEW SAME OLD model year with the same classic models and style at Janus (That is, after all, our thing—the design is timeless)… we do have some exciting updates for you all.
No more “Origin” & NEW low base price
When we launched our Origin line a year ago, we specifically named it something different so folks knew “something was up” and to give a clean distinction to this new way of building a Janus. The “decontented” Origin bikes gave customers a lower entry point, fewer standard options, and less “included” but more “a la carte”.
They were a hit. In an industry where growth was stagnant or negative last year (depending on your marketing and segment), our sales grew by over 30%. Our origin line was a major component of that. This indicates to us that many of you, our customers, are more price sensitive than we all may have been 3 years ago (like many of us at Janus are too in our own families). No big surprise.
We still have folks get completely decked out 250s and exquisite 450s. We had a lot of customers choose our lower base price last year.
SO, this year, to simplify things for everyone—we’ve taken what the Origin line taught us and smashed our Origin bikes together with our classic line.
The Halcyon 250 starts at $6,995.
The Gryffin 250 starts at $6,995.
The Halcyon 450 starts at $12,995.
The Gryffin 450 starts at the same price of $13,495.
ALL Models have the same vast choices for pinstripe and primary colors you can pick from, a variety of choice for tank designs, and a full menu of accessories!
NEW – All 2025 sales will now include 1 year of free roadside assistance! Buying a customized motorcycle from several states away and having it delivered to your door is a different experience. We want ALL new and potential owners to feel secure and taken care of. Peace of mind is worth a lot! Our new nationwide roadside assistance program offers fuel-ups, tows, and other coverage for any challenge you might encounter!
There is no more arbitrary distinction between the Origin line and the Classic line—all models are built to order for you.
Our main goal with this was to simplify things for customers old and new so it was easy to understand and easy to customize and compare. If you have questions about any of these prices, we’ve spent weeks doing the math and I think you’ll be surprised and pleased about the great value you get in a new Janus! We’ve struck a great balance between an accessible entry price AND a full menu of valuable upgrades and options (from unlimited a la carte warranty years to thousands of combinations of colors and pinstripes available to exciting new fender designs)!
New Options
- Longhorn bars – We have a new handlebar option for the Halcyon line! The Longhorn bar is a classic “beach bar” style bar with a little tighter bend and a longer sweep that results in a reduced reach of about 2 inches. It’s got a great look, awesome ergonomics, and will be a comfortable option for lots of customers.
- Halcyon 250 Lower seat – The new lowered seat for the Halcyon 250 currently is available on the standard seat, and lowers the overall seat height by about 1.5 inches. For shorter customers, or simply those used to a more low-slung seat, this will be a comfortable and confidence-inspiring option
- Skirted Fenders – We’ve been perfecting these for about 6 months now. They’re ready for you, now! They provide an extra layer of vintage, classic charm to your Halcyon. The seam is perfect. The rivets are cool. The pinstripe is stunning. Build yours on the configurator now, and ask about a contrasting colors if you’d like to get that “off menu” option on your beautiful new Halcyon.
- Cycle Crate – We partnered with our friend Kurt from Ohio to offer this awesome hand-crafted wooden crate with an ingenious mount system for a “milk crate” on your bike. Features a “Janus Motorcycles” vintage style brand.
- MSR Fuel Bottle Mount on the Halcyon 250.
- Maize primary color option
- 450 Book Rack – Unlike some bolt-on aftermarket accessories, this option is a welded unit for additional strength and a cohesive look. Not for use with precious (or human) cargo.
